Oliver Machinery

Oliver Machinery traces its roots to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1890. The lineup covers table saws from a 10″ jobsite saw to a 16″ 10HP cabinet saw, jointers from 6″ to 16″, planers from a 13″ benchtop up to a 25″ floor model, shapers, edge and spindle sanders, drill presses, and specialty machines. All jointers ship with an HCX helical cutterhead standard; all planers include a helical cutterhead.

Jointers: Parallelogram Tables and HCX Cutterheads

Oliver jointers use a parallelogram table design: the infeed table stays parallel to the outfeed table through its full depth-of-cut adjustment range, keeping both beds coplanar at any setting. All models ship with Oliver’s HCX helical cutterhead: four-sided carbide inserts arranged in a helical pattern that cut at a slight angle to the wood, reducing tear-out and noise compared to straight knives. When an insert edge dulls, you rotate it to a fresh face rather than changing the knife. The range runs from the 6″ model (4225) through 8″ and 12″ options to the 16″ (4275C), with single and three-phase configurations on the 12″ and 16″.

Planers

All Oliver planers come standard with a helical cutterhead (HCX on most models, Byrd Shelix available as an option on select 22″ configurations). The range opens with the 13″ benchtop (10045) and 15″ benchtop (10055), steps through the 15″ floor model (10014) and 20″ (M-4430), and tops out at the 25″ models at 10HP and 15HP.

Table Saws

The table saw range covers the 10″ 2HP jobsite saw, the 10″ Professional (10040), 5HP models in 10″ (4016) and 12″ (4045), and the heavy 14″ 7.5HP and 16″ 10HP (4065) at the top. Most models are available in single and three-phase, with 36″ or 52″ fence rail options.

Shapers

Two series: the 10047 series (3HP to 5HP, including a variable speed model) and the heavier 4705 series (5HP to 7.5HP, single and three-phase).

Sanders, Drill Presses, and Specialty Machines

Edge sanders: 6″×89″ oscillating (6303), 6″×89″ non-oscillating (6305), and the 9″×138″ 3HP floor model (M-6320). The 15″ open-ended wide belt sander (5315) handles stock up to 15″ in a single pass, or up to 30″ with a second pass. Spindle sanders come in benchtop (6905) and floor model (6910). Drill presses run from the 14″ bench model (10060) to the 22″ swing floor model (10063). The 7660 round rod milling machine converts stock into round rods from 3/8″ to 2-1/4″ diameter. The Cuz-D straight flush saw makes zero-clearance flush cuts for subfloor work, jamb undercutting, and door and window openings.

Power Feeders

Oliver’s Uni-Buddy feeders suit shapers and table saws. Available in three-roller (APF0038) and four-roller (APF0048) configurations, both with 8-speed adjustment.
