Laguna Dust Collectors

Laguna’s Flux series covers dust collection from portable canister units to industrial cyclone systems rated at 5,000 CFM. The lineup spans single-stage canister models (C|Flux), HEPA canister versions (P|Flux), two-stage cyclones (D|Flux), larger production cyclones (T|Flux and X|Flux), and industrial-grade systems (I|Flux) that meet NFPA 664 requirements. An ambient air filter (A|Flux) and fume extractor (E|Flux) round out the lineup for complete shop air quality control.

Navigating the Laguna Flux Lineup

The letter before “|Flux” indicates the series. Each targets a different shop scale and filtration need.

The B|Flux is the entry point at 550 CFM shop setting with a 1-micron canister. The C|Flux series (three models at 1.5HP, 2HP, and 3HP) runs 900 to 1,624 CFM at shop setting with a 1-micron cartridge. The P|Flux series matches the same motor range but swaps in a HEPA cartridge with a PTFE membrane for finer particle capture.

The D|Flux adds a two-stage cyclone separator. Most chips and heavy dust drop into the drum in the first stage; finer particles continue to the canister filter. A wireless remote, magnetic hose connections, and air-strut drum lids are standard. The X|Flux 5 steps up to 5HP with 1,823 CFM at shop setting, an 8-inch inlet, and a 39-gallon drum with automatic canister cleaning every three minutes.

The T|Flux 10 delivers 4,030 CFM at shop setting. Smart drums alert when they reach capacity; automatic canister cleaning runs on a timed cycle. The I|Flux 10 Elite is the industrial option: 5,000 CFM, 409 square feet of filter surface area, PTFE filters, and NFPA 664 compliance for facilities with formal dust management programs.

The A|Flux 12 is an ambient air filtration unit that filters room air through a two-stage filter at up to 1,200 CFM. It supplements primary dust collection rather than replacing it. The E|Flux 7 is a fume extractor for finishing and chemical fume applications, not wood dust collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What dust collectors does Laguna make?
Laguna makes the Flux series spanning the B|Flux (550 CFM canister), C|Flux and P|Flux canister machines (1.5HP to 3HP), the D|Flux two-stage cyclones, the X|Flux 5 and T|Flux production cyclones, and the I|Flux Elite industrial systems. An ambient air filter (A|Flux) and fume extractor (E|Flux) are also in the lineup.

What is the difference between the Laguna C|Flux and P|Flux dust collectors?
The C|Flux and P|Flux share the same motor sizes and airflow ratings (900 to 1,624 CFM at shop setting across three models). The difference is the filter: C|Flux uses a 1-micron standard cartridge; P|Flux uses a HEPA-rated cartridge with a PTFE membrane for finer particle capture and longer filter life.
