SIP Laminating Systems

Evans Midwest SIP laminating systems are built for manufacturers of structural insulated panels, bonding oriented strand board (OSB) to EPS foam cores using single-part, moisture-cure polyurethane adhesive. The lineup covers both single-panel and stacked-panel production at multiple scales, with pre- and post-lamination EPS cutting tools for a complete facility setup.

SIP Laminating Systems

Single-Panel and Stacked-Panel SIP Systems

Evans Midwest SIP laminating systems use single-part, moisture-cure polyurethane adhesive to bond oriented strand board (OSB) face sheets to EPS foam cores. 360 Degree Machinery is an authorized Evans Midwest distributor carrying the full lineup.

For single-panel SIP processing, the BE 418T Standard SIP Laminating System features Eco-Track® dispensing heads and a VP 418C Vacuum Press to maintain pressure during adhesive cure. For stacked-panel production, the BE 412TS and BE 424TS use Acu-Track® dispensing heads and hydraulic cylinders to process multiple panels per cycle. Optional overhead JIB cranes with vacuum lift are available for both stacked systems.

SIP Tooling: Pre- and Post-Lamination

Evans Midwest offers tooling for both stages of SIP fabrication. Pre-lamination tools — longitudinal cutting tools, horizontal cutting tools, and EPS edge cutting tools — cut and shape EPS foam cores before the OSB face sheets are applied. Post-lamination tools, including a STIHL® chain saw with modified base and a pneumatic cutting tool, handle door and window openings and gable ends in finished SIP panels.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is SIP laminating, and what does Evans Midwest’s equipment do?
SIP laminating bonds OSB face sheets to an EPS foam core using moisture-cure polyurethane adhesive to create structural insulated panels for energy-efficient construction. Evans Midwest systems apply adhesive via a traversing gantry, then press and cure the assembly under controlled pressure.

What is the difference between the BE 418T and the BE 412TS/BE 424TS?
The BE 418T is a single-panel system using Eco-Track® dispensing heads and a vacuum press for curing. The BE 412TS and BE 424TS are stacked-panel systems that process multiple panels per cycle using Acu-Track® dispensing heads and hydraulic cylinders, suited to higher-volume SIP production.

Where can I buy Evans Midwest SIP laminating equipment?
