Evans Midwest EPS Edge Cutting Tools
Before SIP panels can join, the EPS core needs recesses cut into its edges for the splines and connections that lock panels together. This is a set of twenty-two separate EPS edge cutting tools built to make those cuts.
Hot-Wire Cutting
Each tool uses electrical resistance heating elements, cutting the expanded polystyrene by melting a clean line through it rather than tearing or crumbling the foam. The result is the accurate recessed edge that a good panel-to-panel joint depends on.
Part of the Pre-Lamination Package
These tools belong to Evans Midwest’s EPS pre-lamination tooling, the cutting and shaping equipment that prepares EPS cores before they are laminated into finished SIPs.
