Ritter R132 Triple Spindle Horizontal Borer (32mm Centers)
The R132 is built around one specific standard. Its three gear driven spindles sit on 32mm centers, the hole spacing the European 32mm System is designed around. If your shop builds frameless cabinets, or buys hinge plates, drawer slides, and shelf pin hardware drilled to metric layouts, this is the machine whose holes will line up with the parts you already stock.
That spacing is the reason to choose it over the R131, which is the same platform set up on one inch centers for imperial work. The two are not interchangeable beyond that: the R131 takes 7/16-14 threaded collets where this machine takes 10mm bored collets with a set screw lock. Which hardware system you build to is what should decide between them.
Built to the 32mm System
The 32mm System spaces cabinet hardware holes 32 millimeters apart so that hinges, slides, and shelf supports from any manufacturer following the standard will interchange. Drilling to it on a machine set up in inches means constant conversion and accumulating error across a run. The R132 avoids that by being spaced correctly from the start. Its collets are bored 10mm and lock with a set screw, so specify bits to suit the holes your hardware actually calls for.
Three Holes per Cycle
Each foot pedal cycle produces three holes at the correct spacing rather than one, so repetitive shelf pin and hardware boring takes a third of the cycles. Bits are not included, so specify them with the order.
Pneumatic Clamping and Repeatable Setups
A pneumatic cylinder clamps the workpiece flat before the spindles advance, so the part cannot drift during the cut. Four material positioning stops hold a location across a run, and boring depth adjusts from 0 to 2 inches. The machine runs on 110V single phase power, so no three phase service is required.
