Ritter R131 Triple Spindle Horizontal Borer (1″ Centers)
The R131 puts three gear driven spindles on a single head spaced one inch apart, so a foot pedal cycle that used to produce one hole now produces three. On repeat work such as dowel joinery or stile and rail assembly, that is one third the cycles for the same number of holes.
The spacing is the point. One inch centers suit shops dimensioning in inches and drilling to imperial hardware and dowel layouts. If your cabinet work is built on the European 32mm System instead, the R132 is the same platform on 32mm centers and is the one you want.
Three Holes per Cycle
The head is gear driven rather than belt driven at this size, and ships with three collets already configured for the direction each spindle turns, two left hand and one right hand. Bits are not included, so specify them with the order.
Pneumatic Clamping and a Foot Pedal Cycle
A pneumatic cylinder clamps the workpiece flat to the table before the spindles advance, which keeps the part from shifting and keeps hands away from the bits. The cycle is foot actuated, so both hands stay on the work. Four material positioning stops make a setup repeatable across a run.
Sized for a Standard Shop Circuit
Boring depth adjusts from 0 to 2 inches. The machine wires for 110V single phase, so it does not need three phase power and can be placed wherever there is a standard circuit and an air line.
