Ritter R130 Single Spindle Horizontal Borer

Ritter R130 Single Spindle Horizontal Borer

$6,290.00

A single spindle horizontal borer for shops that drill a lot of different hole patterns rather than the same one all day. One spindle means you set the position, not the machine, so it handles dowel joinery, stile and rail work, and table pin locating on the same footprint. Runs on standard 110V single phase.

Ritter R130 Single Spindle Horizontal Borer

A horizontal borer drills into the edge or face of a part that is lying flat and clamped down. Because the part is fixed and the spindle travels on a fixed axis, holes land more consistently than when an operator is steering a hand drill or feeding a drill press by hand. The R130 is the single spindle version: one hole per cycle, positioned wherever you set the stops.

That makes it the right starting point for a shop whose hole patterns keep changing. There is no fixed spindle spacing to design around, so the same machine covers dowel joinery, stile and rail drilling, shelf pin holes, and table pin locating without any tooling change beyond the bit.

One Spindle, Any Spacing

The trade against a multi-spindle head is straightforward. A three spindle machine drills three holes at a fixed spacing in one cycle and is faster when you run that pattern all day. The R130 drills one at a time but is not committed to any spacing at all. If your work is varied, or you are not yet standardized on a hardware system, the flexibility is worth more than the cycle time.

Pneumatic Clamping and a Foot Pedal Cycle

The workpiece is held flat against the table by a pneumatic clamp rather than by hand, so the part cannot creep mid-cut and your hands stay clear. The boring cycle is triggered by foot pedal, which leaves both hands free to position and hold the next part. Four material positioning stops let you set a repeatable location and come back to it.

Adjustable Where It Matters

Index stops, bed height, and boring depth each adjust independently, so a setup can be dialed in once and returned to later. Depth runs from 0 to 2 inches. The machine wires for standard 110V single phase power, meaning it does not require a three phase service and can go almost anywhere in the shop.
