SCM Class SI 350 Sliding Table Saw

The Class range sits between SCM’s Nova machines and the L’invincibile flagships, and the SI 350 is the entry point. At 2,307 lb, it is roughly 540 lb heavier than the Nova SI 4, and it runs an 11 HP three-phase motor behind a 350 mm blade. The sections below cover what the Class build adds over a Nova, the overarm guard that comes standard here, and the numbers that decide whether it suits your work.

What the Class Build Adds

Class machines are built for shops running production hours rather than project work:

  • 11 HP three-phase motor (8 kW at 60 Hz), SCM’s standard Class motor
  • 2,307 lb of machine, about 540 lb more than the Nova SI 4
  • Overarm blade guard included in this configuration
  • Independent scoring unit for clean undersides on veneered panels
  • 10.5-foot squaring stroke with a 50-inch rip capacity

SCM credits the Class machines’ cut quality to the closed structure of the saw unit and the arch-ground slideways rather than to weight alone, but the heavier frame is part of the same picture: this is a saw built for daily production rather than occasional use.

Blade and Cut Capacity

The SI 350 carries a 350 mm (13.75 in) main blade alongside a 120 mm scoring blade, cutting 118 mm (4.6 in) at 90 degrees and 81 mm (3.2 in) at 45 degrees. The blade tilts from 90 to 45 degrees. Those numbers suit cabinet work, sheet goods and most solid stock; if you routinely cut thicker material, the Class SI 400EP takes a 400 mm blade for 140 mm of cut.

The Overarm Guard

The configuration we quote at this price includes an overarm blade guard. SCM routes dust extraction through the overhead protection on the Class saws with a 100 mm outlet, alongside the 120 mm outlet at the base and 60 mm at the riving knife.
