Osama GCCS-INDEX Sandwich Panel Composition Unit Overview
The Osama GCCS-INDEX is a lay-up station that sits between a roller glue spreader and the press. The operator takes the panel coming off the spreader, glued on one or both faces, and sets it onto the covering material already waiting on the conveyor. A foot pedal advances the line, the top skin is slid into place by hand, and the finished sandwich moves on to a roller press or flat press. It works with cold glues and PUR hot melts alike, which is why Osama lists it as a companion to the HotMaster hot melt gluer.
Two Ways to Build the Panel
The standard version uses a motorized synthetic belt conveyor with a picker trolley for the operator and a storage trolley that holds the laminate, PVC or sheet-metal skins at working height. The alternative version replaces the belt with a pneumatic lifting roller table. Each sandwich is composed on the table, the table drops after every layer until it reaches its lowest position, and the inline safety guards then release the stack to roll straight into a flat press or off to storage.
Built for Line Work
Feed speed adjusts from 6 to 30 m/min to match the spreader ahead of it. Panels from 4 to 60 mm thick pass through. Two sizes are offered: the INDEX 1400×4200 with a 1350 mm working width and the INDEX 1600×5200 with a 1550 mm working width.
