The Osama HotMaster is a four-roller glue spreader built for PUR and EVA hot melt adhesives. It coats the panels that water-based glues struggle with: MDF, particleboard, OSB, plywood, EPS foam, plastics, rubber, glass, sheet steel and aluminum. Shops laminating doors, insulated wall panels, flooring and mattress assembly run it in line ahead of a roller press or flat press, where a PUR bond sets fast enough to keep the line moving.
Heated Rollers With Degree-Level Control
Electric heating elements sit in diathermic oil inside the chrome dosing rollers. Internal probes read the roller temperature and the PLC corrects drift of a single degree. The standard gluing rollers are 250 mm in diameter with a high-temperature silicone cover. The chrome dosing rollers are 215 mm on the HotMaster Q and 250 mm on the HotMaster K. The machine can be built with two or four heated rollers, in a top-only, bottom-only or top-and-bottom configuration.
Touch Screen Recipes
The PLC touch screen stores spread settings, so a proven job can be recalled later and run the same way. From the same screen the operator sets temperature, working speed, glue dosing, roller cleaning cycles and the panel thickness opening, and manages an optional glue feed from a press plate or melter.
Narrowing the Glue Field
Teflon side gaskets fit inside the standard gaskets to shorten the glue field on the upper dosing roller. That matters when a panel is narrower than the roller, or when the machine runs in its chrome-on-chrome configuration.
Why Hot Melt
PUR hot melts cure by reacting with moisture in the air and are close to waterproof once set. They grip surfaces such as glass, laminate and sheet metal that give traditional glues trouble. Osama rates the spread at up to double the quantity per square meter of a conventional glue, with none of the drying wait.
