Navigating the Laguna CNC Lineup
Laguna organizes its automated machinery into product families by technology and application. Here’s how to find the right one.
CNC Routers. The SmartShop series is Laguna’s production router line: 12HP+ spindles, FANUC controls on the Elite and 3 Excel, and 3,000 IPM rapid travel on the high end. The Swift series covers compact routing in smaller footprints, along with the Swift MT multi-tool machine for sign and flexible-material work. For the smallest footprint, the iQ Pro is a desktop router with ball screws on all axes.
Laser Cutting. CO2 lasers cut and engrave wood, acrylic, leather, and non-metals. Fiber lasers cut steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals at power levels from 3KW to 30KW on the DLP. Fiber markers handle permanent marking on metals and plastics in open, enclosed, and portable configurations.
Metal Fabrication. The SmartCut plasma tables cut conductive metals on a welded steel frame with helical rack drives and torch height control. The SmartJet waterjet cuts any material — metal, stone, glass, ceramics, composites — without heat, holding +/-.003″ positional accuracy.
