Laguna 24|BX Bandsaw Overview

Most bandsaws make you break tall stock down before you can resaw it. The 24|BX is the largest saw in Laguna’s Classic Series, with the wheel mass, motor, and fence to take a full 24-inch board in one pass. Power and Resaw Capacity

A 5HP single-phase induction motor (230V, 21A) drives the blade through dense hardwoods at a steady feed, so you get clean, consistent cuts on long production runs. The 24″ resaw height leads its class, making wide boards and tall cuts straightforward, and the 24″ throat gives you room for large panels and complex shapes.

DX3 DriftMaster Fence and Ceramic Guides

The 24|BX ships standard with the DX3 DriftMaster fence, a dual-mode system: a slide-to-position mode for quick repositioning and a handwheel-driven rack-and-pinion mode for repeatable, precise cuts. High and low fence positions let you switch between tall resaw work and standard ripping, and tool-free drift adjustment keeps your cuts on line. Laguna’s ceramic blade guides hold the blade steady through the cut, and the saw runs blades from 1/8″ up to 1-1/4″, so you can set it up for fine curves or heavy resawing.

Built to Hold Its Settings

Precision-balanced 24″ cast-iron flywheels carry the inertia needed to push the blade through tall cuts, and the 24″ x 34.5″ table gives you room for large workpieces and optional power feeders. The table tilts from -5° to 45°, with air-strut assist to make moving the heavy table manageable. A foot-pedal disc brake stops the blade and wheels fast, which keeps you safer and cuts downtime between cuts.

Shop-Floor Details

Dual 4″ dust ports keep collection solid, and a 230V accessory outlet (NEMA 6-15R) at the rear powers a work light or other add-ons. A 3/4″ x 3/8″ T-slot miter track and a 38″ table height round out the work surface. At 580 lbs the saw stays planted during heavy cuts. Note that it ships without a cord or plug, giving you the flexibility to wire it to your shop’s setup.
