Laguna SmartShop® DLP Fiber Laser Overview
Most shops buy a sheet laser and a separate tube cutter. The DLP does both: it runs Laguna’s production fiber-cutting platform for flat sheet, then adds optional tube and pipe cutting so one machine covers parts that would otherwise take two. That versatility makes it a fit for aerospace, automotive, HVAC, and general metal fabrication. Sheet and Tube on One Machine
On the flat side, the DLP cuts sheet on 5×10 or 6×13 tables like the rest of the SmartShop fiber line. Add the optional tube-cutting system and it also processes round and square stock up to 20 feet long: round pipe from 0.60 to 9.4 inches in diameter, and square stock from 0.80 to 9.4 inches. For a shop that does both flat parts and weldment tube, that is two machines’ worth of work on one footprint.
Fiber Power Options
Choose an optical power supply to match your production: 3kW, 6kW, 12kW, 20kW, or 30kW. The DLP cuts stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, titanium, and other metals, and higher power lets you run thicker material and faster feed rates as your work demands.
BOCI Cutting Head and Yaskawa Drive
The BOCI closed-loop cutting head feeds real-time data back to the controller, with automated height control and edge finding for accurate starts on every part. Yaskawa servos drive the axes through a rack-and-pinion system, and the machine handles nesting and batch production so you can run full sheets unattended.
Built for Production
A heat-treated, stress-relieved steel frame keeps the machine stable and accurate under continuous use. It is available with a full safety enclosure and shuttle table, automated zone-controlled fume extraction, and a climate-controlled electrical cabinet. Laguna backs it with expert support and training, and Laguna Care maintenance packages are available.
