We have looked and looked for an affordable, robust, precise brush sander at this price point and here it is!

There are two versions of this machine in two different widths. The 32 has a 300 mm width while the 62 has a 600 mm width capacity. They are available in “r” versions with steel and Tynex® brushes, dedicated to the rustication (wire brushing) of solid wood or in “L” versions standard fitted with abrasive insert brushes and inverter controlled (Multi-Speed Heads) motors for surface sanding. Both have variable feed speeds.

Brushing Units 

SCM’s Formula STR sanding machine consists of two independent brushing units; together they sand and smooth the wood grain and thereby giving the structure a softer, vintage appearance. The degree of structuring can be changed by setting the working depth. Different degrees of finishing may also be obtained by changing out the type of brush. Easily achieve an even structuring and pressure with the adjustable contact rollers at both ends of each brush.

  • High resistance rubber belt
  • Variable feed speed adjustment
  • Brush with 32 abrasive inserts, 120 grit and natural fiber support inserts
  • Brush with 32 abrasive inserts, 180 grit and natural fiber support inserts

  • Manual lifting of operating units by means of front handwheels
