This Northtech NT-760HCVS series single-surface planer opens wide to accept material up to 8″ (H) by 30″ (W). A soft-start 25 HP motor drives the 4″ helical cutter head with six (6) rows of two-sided inserts. The cutter head is dynamically balanced to ensure a quieter operation and smoother cuts. Feed rates from 5 to 70 FPM are precisely controlled through a variable frequency drive. Digital displays for both the feed-rate and cutter height allow quick set-up and accurate adjustment.
