Producing a gun stock means both turning the blank and carving its profile, work that often takes more than one machine. The 4A Elite does both: a rotary 4-jaw chuck turns the blank while a router spindle profiles and inlets it, all under one FANUC control. Built on a heavy steel frame for shift-after-shift production, it is aimed squarely at firearms manufacturers. Built for Gun Stock Production
The 4A Elite is a 4-axis machine, and the fourth axis is what sets it apart: a 4-jaw rotary chuck holds a stock blank up to 46 inches long and 7 inches in diameter and turns it while the router spindle profiles and carves it. That combination handles the full gun stock job, from turning the blank to cutting the inlets and contours, without moving the part to a second machine. A vacuum table with TEE slots is built in for flat work and fixturing.
Spindle, Tool Changer, and FANUC Control
A 6 HP HSD ATC spindle runs from 6,000 to 24,000 RPM and feeds from an 8-position ISO 30 automatic tool changer, so the machine swaps tools without operator help across a multi-step program. A FANUC Oi-MF Plus control and FANUC 750W servo motors drive the axes, giving you the reliability and support of an industrial-grade control rather than a hobby package.
Speed and a Precision Drive System
The 4A Elite rapids at up to 2,500 IPM and cuts at up to 1,200 IPM, so it moves quickly between operations and keeps cycle times down in production. Helical rack-and-pinion drives the X and Y axes and a ball screw drives Z, all riding on 25mm heavy-duty linear bearings, and a centralized lubrication system pipes oil to the bearings on every axis to keep accuracy consistent over long runs.
Built to Run in Production
A heavy-duty tubular steel weldment frame, roughly 2,000 pounds, gives the machine the rigidity and mass to hold tolerances during heavy cuts. A 4-inch dust port on the dust hood ties into your collection, and solid-state NPN proximity home switches keep referencing reliable. The machine motion runs on 220V, 30A, 3-phase power; vacuum pump options are powered separately.
