Coima USA CYC Cyclone Dust Separator
Spin an airstream fast enough and the dust takes care of itself. That is the working principle of the CYC cyclone dust separator: incoming air is forced into a spiral, the particles carry too much momentum to follow the turn, and they end up against the cylinder wall, sliding down the cone into a collection hopper. No media is involved in the separation, so there is no cartridge or sleeve to clog or replace.
Standard and High-Efficiency Versions
The standard CYC handles medium and large particles. When the work runs finer, Coima offers a high-efficiency version in capacities up to 25,000 m³/h (about 14,700 CFM). Either way, what the cyclone catches lands in the hopper in recoverable form; Coima notes the powders can be taken on for further treatment.
Scaled and Configured at Order
Capacities run from 1,000 to 50,000 m³/h (about 590 to 29,400 CFM) across the model range, all in galvanized steel. Collected material discharges to bins or through a rotary valve, and the support legs can be customized to suit the installation.
