Evans Midwest BE 412TS standard SIP laminating system with traversing gantry for stacked panels

Evans Midwest BE 412TS standard SIP laminating system with traversing gantry for stacked panels

Stacked-panel SIP laminating system for panels up to 4′ x 12′, bonding OSB skins to EPS cores with single-part, moisture-cure polyurethane adhesive. Built around an Acu-Track dispensing head fed from a full bulk-adhesive package, with hydraulic cylinders and powered rollers.

Evans Midwest BE 412TS Standard SIP Laminating System

A structural insulated panel is an OSB-EPS-OSB sandwich, and it lives or dies on the bond between skin and core. The BE 412TS is built to lay that bond down right, for stacked-panel production of SIPs up to 4′ x 12′. It skips roll coating in favor of single-part, moisture-cure polyurethane, the fast-curing adhesive SIP construction is built around.

The Adhesive System Is the Machine

Everything about the BE 412TS serves even, repeatable adhesive coverage. An Acu-Track dispensing head places the polyurethane, fed by a bulk adhesive stand with a day barrel, a Zenith pump, heated hoses, and a desiccant column that keeps moisture away from a moisture-cure glue until it is meant to cure. Patented nozzles and a manifold with individual shut-off valves let the coverage be dialed in and held uniform, panel to panel.

Why Moisture-Cure Polyurethane

Single-part PUR cures by reacting with ambient moisture, so there is no mixing and no pot life to race. For the OSB-to-EPS joint, that means a strong, fast, structural bond without the coating stations a water-based process would need.

Stacked-Panel Handling

Hydraulic cylinders and powered rollers move and press the stack. For loading, an overhead JIB crane with vacuum lift is available. For longer panels, the same architecture scales up in the BE 424TS (4′ x 24′).
