Coima USA SIS Wood Chip Storage Silo
Chips pile up faster than they leave. The SIS gives them somewhere to go: a circular silo in fully galvanized, calendered steel that holds 20 to 500 m³ (about 700 to 17,700 ft³) and empties on demand through a motorized or pneumatic extraction system.
Extraction Matched to Silo Size
Smaller chambers, up to 140 m³ (about 4,900 ft³), empty through a cardan motorized extractor. Above that, and up to the full 500 m³, a forced pneumatic system does the moving. The pneumatic setup adds an intermediate buffer, and that buffer is what lets the silo feed three discharge routes at once: a briquetting machine, pneumatic transfer, or mechanical transfer.
Fire and Explosion Protection Included
Stored wood chips and the dust that rides along with them are combustible material, and the SIS treats that as a given: the standard version includes ATEX explosion-proof panels, a fire water ring complete with sprinklers, and ATEX-certified electronic equipment.
