Lobo Horizontal Boring & Slotting Machine

This Lobo Horizontal Boring & Slotting Machine was used to only make samples and was never put into production as the product failed to launch. Basically you have a 96″ wide X 17-1/2″ table that moves on linear guides/bearings in & out. This is for your depth of bore. The heads are mounted to a horizontal carriage on linear guides/bearings that can move left to right (oscillating) via a 1 HP variable speed gearbox.. Giving you the ability to create slots or slats as well. You will find (8) heads that have collets and there are an additional (12) heads that simply use tooling with set screws. The table adjusts up and down 2-3/4″ on linear guides/bearings via the front hand wheel. The max stroke is 4″ (with out tooling). The max. horizontal travel (heads) from left to right is 3-3/4″ (possibly further if you remove the limiter). The max. thickness that can be clamped is 5-1/4″. The spindles share 4 motors. Up top there are (4) 2? x 24? Pneumatic hold-downs driven by (2) Pneumatic cylinders (each). The hydraulic pump is 2 HP. You will find modes on the controls that allow for boring, slotting in both Manual and Auto modes. The hydraulic motor is 2 HP.
