Northtech NT 660S-30HCVS 30 HP Single Surface Planer (w/ Helical Cutter Head)
This Northtech NT-660S series single-surface planer opens wide to accept material up to 11-3/4″ (H) by 26″ (W). A soft-start 30 HP motor drives the 4″ helical cutter head with six (6) rows of two-sided inserts. The cutter head is dynamically balanced to ensure a quieter operation and smoother cuts. Feed rates from 5 to 70 FPM are precisely controlled through a variable frequency drive. Digital displays for both the feed-rate and cutter height allow quick set-up and accurate adjustment.

- Extra heavy, rib-reinforced cast iron table is surface precision ground. 660S-30HCVS has (4) precision 35mm jackscrews to support the planer’s rugged construction.
- Adjustable bed rollers ensure fast and proper positioning with regard to rough lumber to finished glue panels.
- UV rubber outfeed roller provides an optimum finish with reduced vibration.
- Corrugated sectional infeed roller has an independent yield for running strip stock of varying thicknesses without the danger of kickback.
- Anti-kickback fingers equipped at the infeed end provide added safety for the operator.
- Raising and lowering limit controls for powered table elevation
