This was pulled from a working environment, but let’s start off by saying this particular machine is clearance priced to make room for new inventory. We have not gone thru it and it’s sold “as is” for parts, restoration, or salvage. We did run the motor and it runs very smoothly. We did not run the motor connected to the head. The machine has a 16″, 2 blade clam shell head, with Babbitt bearings. The infeed measures 48″ while the outfeed measures 36″. The tables are hand scraped and this was probably done around 100 years ago as this is a pretty early Porter C. We believe this to be a teens to early 1920’s machine. We are not sure when they introduced the safety head, but we do know it was on the 1925 or 1926 model. Since this has a clam shell it most likely pre-dates this. A true piece of American “Iron” history!
