Ayen SKB-50 Vertical Horizontal Boring Machine

This is an Ayen SKB-50 Boring Machine. It has the reputation of being the most accurate non-cnc boring machine ever built and it also boasts the quickest change over times. 90+% of these machine will be from 1981-1988 and this one falls right in the middle being from 1985. It is very complete to say the least down to a manual and while not original to the machine…… it is very hard to come by. The SKB-50 has a total of 50 spindles on a swivel head. So you have 25 spindles on each side, on of course, 32mm centers. The swivel head will allow you to flip spindles and tooling set ups in seconds. Being a vertical horizontal boring machine the fences are used for either operation. There are (4) pneumatic hold downs. This machine comes with fence extensions, 6 flip stops, an angle finder, pin sets for boring extended lengths, (50) collets for non-threaded tooling, a grease gun, and the previously mentioned manual.
